Hughes com esperanças de evitar cirurgia

Matt Hughes disse o seguinte em seu blog no www.matt-hughes.com sobre sua lesão no joelho, ocorrida no UFC 85, na derrota para Thiago Silva;
"Descobri meus resultados, eu tenho um MCL totalmente rasgado que ainda está anexado ao meu fêmur. Eu também tenho um PCL parcialmente rasgado. Eles realmente pensam que o PCL irá mesmo se auto-reparar, enquanto a MCL tem uma chance de se auto-reparar. Por isso, vamos evitar a cirurgia por momento. Estou indo obter uma segunda opinião esta semana, de modo que isto possa mudar, mas por agora nós estamos adiando a cirurgia. "
Hughes está agendado para lutar com Matt Serra antes do final do ano, mas isto agora dependente da gravidade da lesão de Hughes e saber se ele será capaz de evitar a cirurgia ou não.

Matt Hughes had the following to say on his blog at www.matt-hughes.com about his knee injury, sustained at UFC 85 in a loss to Thiago Silva;
“I found out my results, I’ve got a totally torn MCL that is still attached to my femur. I’ve got a partially torn PCL. They really think that the PCL will repair itself and that MCL has a chance of repairing itself. So we’re going to hold off on surgery right now. I am going to get a second opinion this week, so that might change; but for now we’re going to hold off on surgery.”

Hughes is scheduled to fight Matt Serra sometime before the end of the year, but that is now dependent on the severity of Hughes' injury and whether he will be able to avoid surgery or not.
