Apesar de sofrer uma derrota durante a sua recente estréia profissional no MMA, Kim Couture ainda está despertando o interesse da American Fight League.
Couture perdeu por decisão unânime para Kim Rose na última sexta-feira em Las Vegas competindo no Banner Promotions' "Noite de Combate" no Thomas and Mack Center. Durante as primeiras fases da luta, Couture sofreu uma fratura no maxilar e se acredita ter sofrido fratura no nariz em um ponto também.
A AFL, que assinou recentemente com a ex-campeã feminina do BodogFight Tara LaRosa, tinha oferecido à Couture um contrato antes da luta, e deixou claro que esta oferta ainda está sobre a mesa.

In spite of suffering a loss during her recent professional MMA debut, Kim Couture is still drawing the interest of the American Fight League.
Couture dropped a unanimous decision to Kim Rose last Friday in Las Vegas competing for Banner Promotions’ “Night of Combat†at the Thomas and Mack Center. During the early stages of the fight, Couture suffered a broken jaw and is believed to have suffered a broken nose at one point as well.
The AFL, which recently signed former BodogFIGHT women’s champion Tara LaRosa, had offered Couture a contract before the fight and has made it clear that an offer is still on the table.
“The AFL is still very much interested in signing Kim Couture,†AFL CEO B.J. Santiago is quoted as saying in a press release issued by the promotion. “We would be honored to have her on board.
“Kim had a tough loss in Las Vegas but she proved to the world that she’s got a fighter’s heart,†said Santiago. “Despite suffering a broken jaw on the first punch in the first round she fought like a lion and just kept going. The tenacity she displayed in the ring was unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it.â€
